Full Description:
Project Hope Floats is a non-profit organization with the sole purpose of saving the lives of newborn babies that would otherwise be discarded or abandoned in a dumpster, canal or mall bathroom.
The statistics for the United States are extremely high as to new born babies that are discarded. Some survive; some do not. A program similar to Project Hope Floats located in Alabama has saved 6 babies in less that 1-1/2 years. A lady in California has buried 42 babies that have been discarded. This is enough reason for this program.
We plan to have a 24-hour hot line service located at the entrance of St. Anne’s community center. A baby drawer will be installed for them to safely put the baby away from outside elements. The community center door will have a punch code lock that the missionaries will know in order to open the door to the community center and receive the baby. This phone rings to only one location. No questions need to be asked, but every child deserves to know its birth date and health conditions.
Immediately upon abandonment the baby becomes a ward of the State of AZ. The baby will be taken for a medical check-up and Child Protection Services will be notified and given the newborn baby.
